Fully furnished apartment in Girona

For the very first time we are pleased to offer our fully furnished flat in central Girona for weekly Summer holiday lets in addition to longer term monthly Winter lets.

Two separate bedrooms, one double and one twin beds, with two spare mattresses for children sleeping 4-6

Our first floor apartment has a balcony looking out over the River Onyar and is in a great location to discover this beautiful and ancient heart of Catalonia. Just two minutes from the flat you can begin to explore the winding, medieval streets of the old city, with relaxing cafés & restaurants in the many squares beneath the old city walls. Fresh bread shops, a butcher and greengrocer are 5 minute's walk away and a large supermarket is just 5 minutes more. The deli take-away is around the corner if you really don't feel like cooking or eating out.

Originally built in the 70s, it was beautifully renovated three years ago and furnished to a high standard with bright, modern furniture and all the fittings you need for a relaxing holiday stay. Don't be put off by the plain exterior (see photo on the right), because inside you will love the new look! In the Summer the external windows front and back allow a cooling breeze and we have never found it necessary to install air conditioning. A simple fan is sufficient for comfort. The surrounding trees and wonderful location looking out on to the River Onyar means sitting out on the balcony is a pleasure on a Summer evening. Double glazing and central heating ensures it is warm and very quiet in the colder months.

The apartment is convenient for public transport, so if you arrive by plane, bus or train, you may not need to hire a car. The main bus and train stations are 15 minutes walk away.  An excellent bike hire shop is close by if you are energetic and wish to explore further afield. Girona is a cycling centre for the world's best cycle teams but there are lots of trails starting here into the mountains or to the coast for the more leisurely tourist. If you arrive by car, free parking is available outside the flat and in the large Devesa Park opposite. It is particularly easy to park in the Summer months!

Inside the flat we have included lots of books and games and there is a children's play park just over the road on the river walk.  In the summer you can walk ten minutes across the river to the enormous trees of Devesa Park and find an open air swimming pool, with bars and music at night.

We will welcome you on your arrival - there are no agents - and we aim to make you feel at home. We have lived permanently in the area for over 10 years and so we'll be happy to answer any queries about the flat or give suggestions for your holiday plans.

All bedding and towels for the bathroom (Ask about beach towels if packing is tight!)

All electricity, gas & water.

Electric fans for each room (air conditioning not needed as there is a through breeze when windows open)

Lots of cupboard space

All the basics for preparing food in the kitchen, with tea, coffee & milk for when you first arrive

Spring & Summer Rates for 2012

350€ per 2 weeks or 550€ per month 1st March to May 31st
 

500€ per week for up to 4 people  1st June to September 14th
(2 extra mattresses available for further 20€ per person per week)

80€ per night for a minimum of 3 nights, 20% discount for 7 days or more
          
 No further charges for gas, electricity or services.

Saturday exchange dates preferred

20% booking fee required to secure booking
Returnable if cancelled 1 month or more prior to stay

Balance due at the start of the stay in cash, or previous day with Paypal

Winter Rates for 2012/13

550€ per month 15th September to 28th February 2013

No further charges for gas, electricity or services.

One month's deposit required for rental over 3 month period

Subsequent payments one week and one month in advance
 

Deposit `payment to our Spanish, UK or Paypal account,whichever is more convenient.
