Find Can Torras

By car from Girona Airport (20-30 minutes)

Follow the signs to Girona on the first three roundabouts near the airport. On the fourth roundabout, go up a slip road & join the NII dual carriageway towards Girona - careful it's a small sign! Five minutes later, ignore the signs which say Girona & Fornells going off to your right and stay in the left hand lane on the NII. In 5 minutes you will then see a steep slip road down to the C65 to Cassŕ de la Selva & St Feliu de Guixols on your right.  After passing the small town of Quart with a Repsol garage on your left,  you will then see a garden centre, Brico Jardi Quart, also on the left. There is an upturned swimming pool in its display area. Take the left turn immediately after it to St Mateu de Montnegre & Castellar de la Selva. We are 10 minutes up a windy but paved road, on the left hand side, just after the sign for St Mateu de Montnegre, and just before the marker for GIV6641 7km. There is a sign for Can Torras on the first gate, but pass it and find the second entrance to our car parking.

By car from the AP7 France to Barcelona motorway (20 minutes)

Take exit 7 Girona S(outh) , not Girona N(orth) off the motorway. After the toll booth, cross the roundabout towards Girona, Costa Brava & St Feliu de Guixols. Keep in the left hand lane if possible and ignore all the slip roads into Girona city. You will then see the signs for the C65 Cassŕ de la Selva & Quart so carry straight on. Take the turning for St Mateu on the edge of the town of Quart as above.

By train & connecting to Barcelona airport (1hr 30mins to Barcelona)

Girona centre is well served by trains from Barcelona through to France. If you are coming from Barcelona, look for trains to Figueres or Portbou on the French border. The last train leaves Barcelona for Girona at 9.30pm, so check your connection times. You will need to catch a train (not the metro) from the airport to your Girona connection at the stations of Sants or Passeig de Gracia, so add another 30 minutes to your time.

By bus

I'm afraid living as we do at the top of a mountain, there is no public transport to Can Torras. Buses from Girona to St Feliu de Guixols do pass the bottom of the hill in Quart, but it's a long walk up the hill! Buses can take you from the airports of Girona & Barcelona to Girona Centre.

By taxi (20-30 minutes)

Your best bet is to take a taxi from Girona bus, train station or the airport to Can Torras (Tell them St Mateu de Montnegre near Quart) and the fare should be less than 30 euros. Many of the airport taxis are geared up for transporting large pieces of luggage such as bikes, although they may charge a little extra.
